1. When you walk turned out
2. When your room is cluttered with bobby pins, hair nets, leotards, tights, and booty shorts
3. When people find out you do ballet and they ask if you can “go up on your toes”
4. When people ask you to do “a little twirl” for them
5. When your ballet teachers are your mothers, making everyone at your studio your siblings
6. When you have a pointe shoe obsession
7. When you sleep in passe
8. When your friends mistake you as a rubber band
9. When you talk about dance all the time to your normal friends and they get bored from the conversation
10. When your life is Dance Moms, Dance, Dance Moms, Dance, and more Dance
11. When you have bad bun days instead of bad hair days
12. When you’re obsessed with anything and everything to do with ballet
13. When you get a new leotard… or more like 3… okay 10…. okay maybe more….
14. When you miss your favorite TV show because you’re so busy stretching
15. When you spend more hours at your dance studio than anywhere else
16. When life is not dance, but dance is life
17. When you mentally correct people’s turn out when they imitate a ballerina
18. When your normal friends try to imitate ballerinas
19. When you say a bunch of ballet terms to your friends to convince them you speak French
20. When you can’t see the floor of your room because of old ballet shoes, tights, bedazzled combs, props, dance bags, leotards, and more things from last year’s competition
21. When your friends ask you to hang out and you say no every time they ask because you “have ballet class”
22. When you’re so sore that it hurts to lie down on your bed
23. When you spend hours on Discount Dance’s website, and STILL don’t find everything you need
24. When you point your feet without realizing
25. When you’re basically broke because of the money spent on dance shoes, clothes, and studio fees.
26. When people think that dance, dance teachers, and dance competitions are just like they are in Dance Moms…. SURPRISE! THEY’RE NOT!!
27. When you spend every waking moment talking and thinking about dance
28. When you quote Dance Moms with your friends at dance
29. When you practice your ballet combo in your living room
30. When you find yourself mindlessly doing plies during a conversation with normal people
31. When you live, breathe, sleep, eat dance dance dance ballet ballet ballet
32. When you have over a million bruises on your legs, and all of them came from dance
33. When you’re the most graceful person in ballet class, but the most clumsy person outside of the dance studio
34. When you dream of your of your room being built into a personal dance room with a barre, mirror, music player, and the best dance floor
35. When you love dance and ballet more than anything in the whole entire world
